With a smile upon the brunette's face, she placed her foot in the stirrup on her English saddle and heaved herself up onto her stud's back. Sighing softly, she reached down and patted the dappled grey's nape. "Oh, what a good boy you are." She said and nudged him into a trot. He went into a steady trot as commanded and arched his boa. Audits flickered in all directions, listening to birds churp and squirrels squeak. With a snort, he went into a canter as the nudge of his rider could be felt against his sides. A small log came up ahead and he cleared it easily. Alex grinned to herself. She loved Storm so much.

Sonnet's wavy blonde hair flew out from under the light brown cowboy hat she was wearing. Her plain blue jeans rubbed against the brown leather saddle she was using today. It was her oldest saddle, and the most comfortable after so much use. Her horse, a dun Quarter Horse stallion named Footloose, seemed to prefer it, too.
Footloose tossed his tan hued dial, his auds flicking back to hear Sonnet's orders then forward to pick up the sound of approaching hoof beats. He continued to walk lazily on at his master's command, but he was completely alert to everything.
Sonnet felt Footloose start pulling on the bit, knowing he was just rearing to run. "Whoah, boy." She said, patting him on the neck. He was such a get-up-and-go type of guy, he had to learn how to hold himself back. Sonnet looked up as hoof beats reached her ears, too. She saw a brunette girl on a dapple gray horse jump over a log and continue at a canter. Sonnet watched them, and wished she had her English saddle so she and Footloose could practice their jumping. She continued to watch the girl and the horse, wondering if they were going to stop.
