Alexa crept down the stairs and made her way over to the barn. It was a little chilly out, espacially since she had a tank top on. She made her way over to Alazar's stall. The fiesty Dutch warmblood started pawing at the ground. Nice to see you too big guy she said sticking her arm through the bars to pet him.

The air outside was chilly, and I rubbed my shoulders, carefully and gratefully stepping into the warmth of the barn. The smell of hay and horsiness tickled my nose, and I quickly searched for my gelding. I picked my way down the isle, picking my feet up high so as to avoid stepping in a stray pile of manure. I saw a bay head poke over a half door, brown eyes looking perplexedly at the late night visitors. Al, I exhaled gladly. The gelding nuzzled me with his velvety soft muzzle, and I stroked his nose contentedly. He sniffed at my hands, searching for treats, but his search was in vain. My jammy-pants had no pockets; I couldn't very well transport any mints for him. I let myself into his stall carefully, and stood in a corner, watching him. He peered at me inquisitively, then dissmissed it as normal behavior, and began to munch on some oats.

Kaye
Kaye walked down to the stables behind the girls taking her time, she entered and was imediatly met by an enthusiastic whinny from her mare, she smiled and wandered down the rows until she came to the stall door of a beautiful white Quarter Horse mare, she lent against the door and patted the mares soft nose, Hey girl how you going?, she asked affectionate, the horse shook its cranium up and down as if giving an answer, Kaye smiled, she loved being with her horse it made her feel calm, opening the door she stepped inside and started rubbing the horse in all her favourite spots.
Brad
Brad was had become bored in the dorm there wasnt any other guys here yet so when he saw Kaye go down to the stables he dicided that sounded like a good idea they haddent had time to catch up lately and it would be nice to see Shadow and Summer if she was there. So he crept out and wandered accross to the stables, entering he wandered up the isle until he came accross Kaye and Summer, he noted that Shadow was a bit further along and went to say a quick hellow to the stallion before returning back to Summers stable, Hello Stranger, he said smiling at her startled reaction.
Kaye
Kaye spun around at the sound and tried to contain her excitement, she flung the door open and threw he arms around his shoulders, then she pulled away and hit him, Dont scare me like that, she said with mock anger before she hugged him again

I heard the male voice, deep and interesting. I froze, feeling strange in my plaid pajama bottoms. Al nudged me, as if asking why I had stopped petting him, but I absentmindedly pushed his nose away. I turned back to my gelding quickly, scolding myself for thinking such things. I had promised myself that I'd focus on Al and, if I felt like it, maybe even my studies, not popularity contests or boys. But, hey, once you acted like one of those girls, you were one. I chewed on my cheek. It was a bad habit of mine, and I did so until I was bleeding and raw, but I couldn't help it. It was a way to bring myself back down, that subtle gnawing feeling, to remind you of the emptiness. I was Christian, thanks to Mother and Daddy's strange beliefs, and in school they'd told us all religions were good. But they told us, as Christians, we would never be happy until we died. We were constantly dying. That was that. But, I don't know about that. There are those rare moments, those fleeting times when you feel content; when you feel like singing. I doubt those old nuns know what it's like to be happy, and maybe I don't either. But, I'll take it a day at a time, and live in the blissfull ignorance. It may not be true happiness, but it's sure as hell near it.

Alexa lifted her hands off of Alazar's head and she poked her head around the corner to where the others were. Slowly she made her way over to them and zipping up her sweatshirt as she walked. "Nice horse" Alexa said to Kaye and Brad. She leaned over against the stall of a sleeping paint across the asile.

Come on Rae. Do it. Be social. Trying not to roll my eyes, I gave my gelding one last pat. He followed me as I closed his door, stared at me for a minute, and then went back into the warmth of his stall. I was glad I'd changed into my barn-shoes [an abandoned pair of New Balance tennis shoes]. I shoved my hands into the pockets of my warm NorthFace fleece, feeling the soft inside warm my body slowly. Trying to be nonchalant about it, I mosied over to the gathered teens, staring intently at each of them. I was slightly glad for the many lessons I'd gotten as a child. How to seem like you cared when you didn't, and vise versa. I was trying the latter now, caressing the nose of a liver chestnut who nudged me inquisitively. Meanwhile, my ears were alert, trying to catch the others' words.

Kaye
She let go of Brad and turned to smile at the girls as they aproached, Thanks, she said warm to Alexa, absently patting Summers noseBrad this is Alexa and Raelyn my roommates, girls this is my brother Brad, she said warm introducing everyone, she smiled at her brother they were like best friends and it was so nice to see a familar face around here.
Brad
He turned to the others and smiled warm, g'day, he said nodding his head, he wasnt much of a talker around new people but he wasnt shy as such just didnt see the point in blabbering on, besides it was easier to get an idea about people when you sit back and watch.

Alexa smiled, she loved meeting people, her precocious and outgoing demeanor had to have something to do with it. She replied, "Nice to meet you" with a flirtatious little smile. That was her other favorite thing to do, flirt, even if she had no interest in the guy whatsoever. Alexa looked over at Rae who seemed a little shy. Alexa was also rather good at reading people, and animals emotions. She smiled, grabbed Rae's arm and dragged her over to where Alazar's stall was. "Lat's go for a ride" she was well aware that it was late and most likely they'd get in trouble, but willing to risk anything to have some fun she unlatched Alazar's stall.

I furrowed my perfectly plucked brows as Alexa grabbed my arm. Using my free hand to brush my bangs out of my eyes, I gave a slightly confused, and slightly forced smile. I had to try to be nice, I just wasn't this forward with people. Sure, I'd tell them the truth if they asked, but I never really put myself out there. O- OK... I managed, looking to Al's stall. I considered, only briefly, how many rules we were breaking, and the fact that it was probably pretty stupid to be doing so, but I shrugged it off. There was always boarding school in England, right? I wriggled my arm from her grasp, and opened my trunk that sat outside of Al's stall. I pulled out his tack, and opened his stall door, pausing and glancing at Kaye and Brad. I felt kind of strange, just being so spontaneous. It was something I didn't normally do with strangers. But, since we were roommates, I guess we weren't going to be strangers anymore...

Alexa watched Rae as she tacked her horse, she looked confused and slightly disturbed at the idea, but she was going along with it so Alexa had no intentions of stopping. Grabbing Alazar's leather lead, she led him into the middle of the aisle and ground tied him while she when into the tack room. When she came out the horse was feisty and ready to go, he was used to her typical spontaneous behavior. This wasn't Alexa's first boarding school, she had gone to a few others, and it all ended the same way, her parents deciding she needed to go somewhere bigger and better. This time Alexa had intentions to stay. She threw a bareback pad on him and led Alazar to the end of the barn. She hopped on his back, skirt and all then looked toward Rae. "Ready?"

[ooc.Alexa watched Rae as she tacked her horse, she looked confused and slightly disturbed at the idea,... "Ready?"
i found that funny :] anyway...]
As I led my tacked gelding into the isle, I gently swung myself onto his back. He turned his head to peer at me with confusion, knowing I had my routine for everything, and not seeing a trainer in sight. I patted his neck, and settled myself, feeling giggly at the feeling of my flannel pants against the supple leather of the saddle. My phone, which was clipped to my pants, buzzed, and I looked quickly to see a text from one of my friends from home. Indignantly, I shut off the phone and slipped it back onto the clip, and turned to Alexa. Ready. I said confidently, adjusting the reins in my fingers. Al sighed, and I shifted as he shifted his weight to stretch out his legs. It was an odd sensation, but I let my body relax, and let myself enjoy the fact that I was riding at midnight.

Alexa smiled at Rae and laughed a little, she realized it was midnight. "Yah" Alexa shouted at Alazar who was pawing the ground under her. With on big kick he was off. Alexa wasn't sure of Rae's riding level, knowing that she herself had been riding for over 10 years and was very confident in her riding skills. She turned toward Rae, gripping the reins in her hands. Alexa rode Alazar over to the edge of the fence, where they would be out of sight, and slowed down, waiting for Rae.

Al lurched as if out from under me, following the horse and rider before us. I was used to warming up before going all out, so I was slightly unseated, bouncing around before regaining my seat. My gelding stopped calmly at the fence, pulling on the bit, trying to get himself situated. I settled my shoulders, gripping firmly with my legs, and looked to Alexa expectantly. I didn't feel like taking charge of the situation. I'd moved into the state of exhaustion where you no longer felt tired, rather just felt delirious. I blinked several times, my eyes out of focus, and tried to get my bearings around the dark grounds. My legs were firm, back straight, and hands soft. I was ready to ride.

Kaye
Kaye smiled as the girls headed out what ya say bro willing to breck the rules, she said raising one eyebrow she knew her brother he never turned down an oportunity to defy the rules and she saw the tell tale grin form on his face.
Brad
Brad grinned, you know it, he said walking over and taking up his horse while Kaye tacked Summer, soon the two were riding out with speed to join the other two.

I watched as they settled in behind us, my eyes falling to Alexa for further instructions. I plucked a stray eyelash off my cheek as Al arched his neck, snorting with exasperation. He was ready to roll, and it took a great deal of power to keep the gelding in check.
[ooc. sorry, short, out of things to say]
